“I am interested in the strategic dimensions of design in relation to participatory methods and learning. When does design attain strategic benefit? When does design create value rather than just adding some? My expertise stems from working in teaching for design students, as well as with non-academic designers aka as artisans. I endorse and develop inclusive design methods so that genuine participation is central to any intervention. Shared knowledge-creation is key for fostering creativity and a positive sense of individuality and commonality, which in turn can have positive effects on well-being and ultimately on social resilience and cultural sustainability.”
